Doctors
Marilyn McCluskey, MD
Dr. McCluskey is a board-certified ophthalmologist. She was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and grew up in a small town in Mississippi. Dr. McCluskey obtained her M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi where she graduated with honors. Following an internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, she completed a three-year residency program in Ophthalmology at the Eye Foundation Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been a resident of Austin since 1989. She has a special interest in glaucoma, lid surgery, and LASIK.
Staff
Aaron, Certified Optician (ABOC)
Aaron joined the Premier Eye Care, PA team in 2019 as an Optician and Patient Care Coordinator to assist in the office wherever needed. Aaron has an extensive background in the eyecare industry having opened and managed an Optometry practice from the ground up for 11 years. Prior to his work life in the Eyecare Industry, Aaron worked in Retail Management for 5 years after graduating from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics, along with a Minor in Business Administration. Aaron is also a graduate of Essilor’s Management Development Program and has recently earned his ABO Certification. He enjoys the application of both his optical and clinical knowledge in patient education so that the patients of Premier Eye Care, PA get the most out of every visit to our clinic. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys sports and outdoor activities with his children. Aaron looks forward to assisting you and enhancing your next experience at Premier Eye Care, PA!
Diane, Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT)
Diane is a third-generation Austinite. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from UT – Austin, she began her career working for an Ophthalmologist. She became a Certified Ophthalmic Technician over 30 years ago and has worked in the field for over 38 years. She enjoys visiting the Texas Hill Country on weekends and vacationing with her husband at the National Parks every year.
Doris, Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT)
Doris has worked with Dr. Brent and Dr. McCluskey for over 25 years. She is a certified ophthalmic technician and loves working with the patients of Premier Eye Care, PA. She also has many duties in the practice in addition to patient care. Prior to coming to Austin from Dallas, she worked for an Ophthalmologist there for several years. She is a wife and proud mother of three boys. Her hobbies include sewing, painting, and crafting.
Olivia
Olivia Tijerina has worked with Dr. Brent and Dr. McCluskey for more than 24 years. She has had many responsibilities at Premier Eye Care, PA including front desk, office manager, and insurance coordinator. Olivia is married and the proud mother of 3 handsome boys. She spends many hours outside of work supporting her boys at the baseball fields. She loves animals and her boys participate in the FFA. She is the friendly face you see when you come in for your appointment. She is dedicated and committed to making your visit a pleasant one.
